Mesotherapy was founded in France in 1952 by Dr Michel Pistor. This course is taught by Dr Philippe Hamida-Pisal, founder of SoMUK — the UK professional society for mesotherapy, established in 2013 at 22 Harley Street — and is endorsed by SoMUK. It covers three protocols: the full face, the scalp and the body.

What You Will Learn
By the end of the course you will be able to:
- Explain the science and history of mesotherapy, from Dr Michel Pistor’s original work to current practice.
- Formulate and select cocktails using vitamins, hyaluronic acid, amino acids, growth factors and enzyme preparations.
- Use nappage, point-by-point injection and retrograde linear threading, adapting depth and spacing to each area.
- Deliver a full-face protocol for hydration, luminosity, fine lines and early photodamage.
- Treat hair thinning, including androgenetic alopecia, diffuse thinning and telogen effluvium.
- Explain how cellulite develops, what the evidence shows, and apply body protocols.

How the course is assessed

Pre-study
The pre-study pack and assessment on our learning platform, completed before your practical day. Your login is issued when you book.

Theory and demonstration
Mesotherapy science, cocktail formulation and protocols, followed by a live demonstration by your trainer.
03
Practical sign-off
Your trainer observes your treatments on live models, gives individual feedback and signs off your competency before your certificate is issued.

Courses run at 22 Harley Street, London, from 09:00 to 17:00. Group places are limited to six delegates; one-to-one dates are arranged around your diary. This course can also be delivered abroad, with the same trainer, curriculum and CPD certification, for groups of at least six — email us with “Training Abroad”, your country and “Aesthetic Mesotherapy” in the subject line.

CPD Certification
Our course material is CPD Certified by The CPD Certification Service (Member No. 7006). CPD Certification confirms that the course material meets recognised CPD standards and guidelines. It does not confirm the competence of any learner completing the course; competence is assessed by PHP Training Academy against its own assessment criteria. CPD is self-directed and self-declared: your certificate gives you the evidence to record it. It is a record of training rather than a regulated qualification.

Yes. The course is open to medical and non-medical practitioners, each working within their own scope of practice. If you are unsure, ask us before booking.
Do I need injecting experience?
No. This is a foundation course with no prerequisites.
Which areas does the course cover?
The face for skin quality and rejuvenation, the scalp for hair restoration, and the thighs and buttocks for cellulite.
Does this course lead to SoMUK membership?
Completing accredited mesotherapy training is a requirement for SoMUK membership, which then gives you 20% off our other courses. Membership is verified when you book.
