The final step in our botulinum toxin pathway, for experienced practitioners. You learn the most anatomically demanding treatments — the Nefertiti lift, masseter reduction, hyperhidrosis and Trap Tox — along with combination protocols and the judgement to know when not to treat.

Level 3 covers large muscle groups, medical indications and combination treatments with fillers — the treatments patients increasingly ask for, and the ones that demand the most precise anatomy. It completes our pathway: Level 1 Beginners, Level 2 Intermediate, then Level 3 Advanced. Taught by Dr Philippe Hamida-Pisal.

Doctors, dentists, nurses and pharmacists registered with the GMC, GDC, NMC or GPhC, or an equivalent regulatory body if registered outside the UK

You must have completed both botulinum toxin beginners and intermediate training with a recognised provider

Significant independent experience
You should already treat patients across all intermediate areas independently. This course is not suitable straight after beginners training

Prescribing and insurance
Botulinum toxin is a prescription-only medicine, so non-prescribers must work with a prescriber. You need professional indemnity insurance covering aesthetic injectables

What You Will Learn

By the end of the course you will be able to:

  1. Perform the full Nefertiti lift protocol for jawline definition and neck tightening.
  2. Treat the masseter for facial slimming or bruxism, with correct localisation, depth and dosing.
  3. Map and treat hyperhidrosis of the underarms, hands and feet, and understand the medico-legal considerations.
  4. Treat the trapezius (Trap Tox) with safe injection points and margins.
  5. Plan and sequence combination treatments with dermal fillers.
  6. Correct asymmetries and manage complications such as brow and eyelid ptosis, and know when to refer.
  7. Adjust treatment for resistant and sensitive patients.
  8. Build the consultation, consent, photography and review systems for an advanced toxin practice.

Practical Training and Assessment

Every advanced area is practised hands-on, on live models, under direct supervision. With a maximum of six delegates, your trainer gives you individual technique feedback throughout the day.

How the course is assessed

Pre-study
The pre-study pack and assessment on our learning platform, completed before your practical day. Your login is issued when you book.

Theory and demonstration
Advanced anatomy, dosing tables and complication protocols for each area, with a live demonstration by your trainer.

Practical sign-off
Your trainer observes your treatments on live models, gives individual technique feedback and signs off your competency before your certificate is issued.

CPD Certification
Our course material is CPD Certified by The CPD Certification Service (Member No. 7006). CPD Certification confirms that the course material meets recognised CPD standards and guidelines. It does not confirm the competence of any learner completing the course; competence is assessed by PHP Training Academy against its own assessment criteria. Under the GMC, GDC, NMC and GPhC, CPD is self-directed and self-declared: your certificate gives you the evidence to record it. It is a record of training rather than a regulated qualification.
Treating hyperhidrosis
Hyperhidrosis is a functional medical condition. The course covers patient selection, higher dosing than facial areas, and the medico-legal considerations of treating it with botulinum toxin, so you understand your responsibilities before offering it.
I have only just completed beginners training. Can I join?
No. Level 3 is for practitioners who have completed both beginners and intermediate training and already treat all intermediate areas independently. Botox Level 2 is the right next step.
I trained with another provider. Can I join Level 3?
Yes, if you completed beginners and intermediate training with a recognised provider and have significant independent experience. If you are unsure, contact us before booking and we will check.
Do I treat live models?
Yes. Every advanced area is practised hands-on on live models under direct supervision.
Is SoMUK membership worth it for this course?
SoMUK members pay £680 instead of £850 for the group course, a saving of £170. Membership costs £150 a year, so this course alone covers it.
What comes after Level 3?
