A one-day course for practitioners who already treat the classic upper-face areas and are ready to go further. You learn the brow, lower face and neck, with precise dosing for each area, and practise every area on live models under supervision at 22 Harley Street.

Level 2 takes you beyond the three standard areas — frown lines, forehead lines and crow’s feet — into brow lifting and shaping, bunny lines, the lip flip and perioral lines, chin dimpling, platysmal neck bands, gummy smile and mouth-corner downturn. It is the second step in our pathway: Level 1 Beginners, Level 2 Intermediate, then Level 3 Advanced.

Botulinum toxin is a prescription-only medicine, so non-prescribers must work with a prescriber. You need professional indemnity insurance covering aesthetic injectables

What You Will Learn
By the end of the course you will be able to:
- Lift and shape the brow while keeping a natural, balanced expression.
- Treat bunny lines, the lip flip and perioral lines with appropriate doses.
- Treat chin dimpling and mouth-corner downturn safely.
- Assess and treat platysmal neck bands.
- Correct a gummy smile.
- Choose and adjust doses across all upper face, lower face and neck areas.
- Recognise the specific risks of lower-face and neck treatment, and how to avoid and manage them.
Practical Training and Assessment
Every treatment area is practised hands-on, on live models, under direct supervision. Your trainer corrects your technique individually as you work.

How the course is assessed

Pre-study
The pre-study pack and assessment on our learning platform, completed before your practical day. Your login is issued when you book.

Theory and demonstration
Anatomy, dosing and risk for each new area, with injection maps and a live demonstration by your trainer.

Practical sign-off
Your trainer observes your treatments on live models, gives individual technique feedback and signs off your competency before your certificate is issued.

Courses run at 22 Harley Street, London, from 09:00 to 17:00. Group places are limited to six delegates; one-to-one dates are arranged around your diary. CPD Certification
Our course material is CPD Certified by The CPD Certification Service (Member No. 7006). CPD Certification confirms that the course material meets recognised CPD standards and guidelines. It does not confirm the competence of any learner completing the course; competence is assessed by PHP Training Academy against its own assessment criteria. Under the GMC, GDC, NMC and GPhC, CPD is self-directed and self-declared: your certificate gives you the evidence to record it. It is a record of training rather than a regulated qualification.
I trained with another provider. Can I join Level 2?
Yes, if you completed a botulinum toxin beginners course with a recognised provider and already treat the three standard areas independently. If you are unsure, contact us before booking and we will check.
Do I treat live models?
Yes. Every treatment area is practised hands-on on live models under supervision, with individual feedback on your technique.
Is SoMUK membership worth it for this course?
SoMUK members pay £640 instead of £800 for the group course, a saving of £160. Membership costs £150 a year, so this course alone covers it.
When do I receive my certificate?
Your CPD certificate is issued on the same day, once your practical competency has been signed off.
What comes after Level 2?
Level 3 Advanced is the final step in our botulinum toxin pathway. For an Ofqual-regulated qualification in toxins and fillers, see our Level 7 Diploma.
