The course covers both forms of injectable vitamin B12 — cyanocobalamin and hydroxocobalamin — and injectable vitamin D, with the safety, infection control and prescribing knowledge you need to offer them responsibly. Taught by our faculty at our Harley Street clinic.

What You Will Learn

Prescription-only medicines
Injectable vitamin B12 (cyanocobalamin and hydroxocobalamin) and injectable vitamin D are prescription-only medicines in the UK. They must be prescribed by an appropriate prescriber or supplied under a valid Patient Group Direction.
CPD Certification
Our course material is CPD Certified by The CPD Certification Service (Member No. 7006). This confirms the course material meets recognised CPD standards; it does not confirm the competence of any individual learner, which is assessed by PHP Training Academy against its own criteria. Under the GMC, GDC, NMC and HCPC, CPD is self-directed and self-declared. Your certificate records training and assessment; it is not a regulated qualification and does not by itself prove ongoing clinical competence.

Can I give B12 injections without a prescriber?
No. Injectable B12 and vitamin D are prescription-only medicines, so they must be prescribed by an appropriate prescriber or supplied under a valid Patient Group Direction.
Will I inject real patients?
Yes. Every delegate gives supervised injections to their own patients. One-to-one tuition gives you more hands-on treatments.
Is SoMUK membership worth it?
SoMUK members pay £240 instead of £300 for the group course, and £480 instead of £600 for one-to-one. Membership costs £150 a year and gives 20% off our other courses too.
