IV Vitamin Therapy Training
A one-day course for registered healthcare professionals who want to deliver intravenous vitamin therapy safely and competently. The morning covers theory; the afternoon is
fully practical
— supervised cannulation, drip assembly, rate management and patient monitoring on live patients, in our CQC-registered Harley Street clinic.
“
Anyone can put up a drip. The skill is knowing who should not have one, and recognising the moment it stops going well.

What We Teach — and What We Do Not
We would rather be clear about this before you book than have you arrive expecting something else.
What the course covers
Patient assessment and contraindications. Correct product selection from established market brands. Compatibility and stability awareness. Peripheral cannulation. Drip assembly, rate management and patient monitoring. Recognition and management of complications. Consent and clinical documentation.
What the course does not cover
Our training uses ready-to-use IV cocktails from established market brands. We do not teach in-house compounding, custom mixing, or sterile formulation from individual components. That is a distinct discipline with its own regulatory framework, and it is not what this course is for.
The Day
01
Morning — theory
Pharmacology and rationale. Patient assessment, contraindications and consent. Product selection, compatibility and stability. Complications and how to recognise them early.
02
Afternoon — practical
Supervised cannulation on live patients. Drip assembly, priming and rate management. Patient monitoring throughout the infusion. Complications simulated and worked through.
03
Sign-off
Faculty assess each delegate against our competency criteria and complete a signed record. Your certificate is issued on the day.
Before You Book
Prescribing — the point most people miss
Most IV vitamin preparations are prescription-only medicines. They may be administered only on a valid prescription written for a named patient by an appropriate prescriber who has personally assessed that patient, or under a Patient Group Direction under which you are named, trained and authorised. Remote prescribing is not accepted for this purpose. If you are not a prescriber yourself, you will need a genuine working arrangement in place before you practise — and we are glad to talk that through with you.
Who This Course Is For
Registered healthcare professionals — doctors, nurses, dentists and pharmacists registered with the GMC, GDC, NMC or GPhC, or an equivalent regulatory body if registered outside the UK — who hold professional indemnity insurance covering their relevant practice. We check eligibility before confirming any place. If you are unsure whether this course is right for you, please ask us before booking.
Scope of practice
This course teaches IV vitamin therapy within aesthetic and wellness practice. It is a record of training and assessment. It is not a regulated qualification, and it does not by itself establish your ongoing clinical competence — that remains yours, and your regulator’s, to judge. You must also confirm that your indemnity insurance covers intravenous practice before treating.
Small groups. Live patients. Honest about the limits.
